New Delhi: WADe India – a platform to celebrate women-led development in the fields of Architecture plus Art & Design is back. The event will be held on 28th and 29th October 2017 (Saturday and Sunday) from 9:30 am onwards at The Leela Ambience in Gurgaon. The event will witness the industry coming together to celebrate the milestones achieved by women in this field.
WADe Asia Event is about soulful knowledge-sharing on Architecture, Art and Design, and celebrating women-led development. A gathering of some of the best designers from India and neighbouring countries, WADe 2017 will have the presence of passionate octogenarian Didi Contractor known for her sustainable creations for the past six decades, alongside young emerging architects in their 20s who are leading the change in their cities. Others luminaries who will be present are Christopher Benninger, Shimul Zaveri Kadri, Anupama Kundoo, Karan Grover, Nela de Zoysa from Sri Lanka, Dean D'Cruz, Abha Narain Lambah, Khozema Chitalwala, Brinda Miller, Supraja Korukanti, Canna Patel, Ashwin Lovekar, Pratap Jadhav, National President, Institute of Indian Interior Designers, Divya Kush, President, Indian Institute of Architects, ace Artist Padma Bhushan Rajeev Sethi, Yangki Dorji from Bhutan, Sameep Padora, and 50 more stalwarts from the industry, making WADe an unparalled and unmissable event.
This year, actress & fitness expert, Bhagyashree will be gracing WADe Asia as Guest of Honour. Born as Princess Bhagyashree Patwardhan Raje of Sangli, she has been a successful actress, and is now a fitness enthusiast. She has been the best in all her roles, and WADe takes pride in hosting this woman of substance. Singer Hema Sardesai, who has sung famous numbers like ‘Aawara Bhawre’ and Chak de India’s ‘Badal me paon hai’ will enthral the audience in the closing celebrations. Stand-up comedian Rajneesh Kapoor will also entertain the audience on the 1st day of WADe Asia.
WADe Asia will also hosts special sessions like “Masterclass with Mentors”, “Designers of India, you are the Master of your destiny*”, “Time is changing”, and more, along with presentations from Padma Bhushan Rajeev Sethi, Ar. Benninger and other dignitaries to share their thoughts and views at WADe Asia event.
