Arbitration proceedings meeting held under chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner 

Ludhiana, March 17, 2022: The 170th proceeding meeting of district Level Micro and small Enterprises Facilitation Council was held under the Chairmanship of Varinder Kumar Sharma, Deputy Commissioner, Ludhiana today. This meeting was attended by Neeru Katyal as Co-ordinator, members of the Council namely Advocate Himanshu Walia, Lead district manager Ludhiana Sanjay Kumar Gupta, member Secretary Rakesh Kansal, General manager cum general Manager, District Industries Centre, Ludhiana. 

About 80 cases were enlisted for today’s preceding meeting and out of 80 cases adjudicated, 23 reference claim petition, District Council out of which allowed 12 cases and 11 Dismissed references on Legal grounds such as limitation, registrations and other Grounds.

Rakesh Kumar Kansal General Manager , District Industries Centre, Ludhiana has further apprised that special efforts are made for amicable settlement of dispute and platform is provided to address the issued related to delayed payments of Micro & Small Enterprises as per provision of MSME development Act 2006. He further said that Conciliation proceedings are conducted on every Tuesday , where as Arbitration proceedings are conducted on every Thursday .

Where as Advocate Himanshu Walia member of District council, disseminated that stakeholders should take advantage of this quasi judicial Authority and also apprised that the award pronounced by this District council has overriding effect as per provision of MSME Dev Act 2006.
