Panchkula, 31 October 2025: Aravali International School, Panchkula, commenced its much-awaited three-day theatrical presentation Mahabharat with an impressive inaugural performance by the Junior and Middle Wing students at the school’s open-air amphitheatre. The first day’s show marked a vibrant beginning to a cultural journey blending learning, heritage, and artistic expression.
The event was graced by Dhan Singh Bhadana, Chairman, who appreciated the efforts of the students and faculty for bringing India’s rich cultural legacy to life through education. He lauded the school for providing young learners with meaningful platforms to explore creativity and build confidence through performing arts.
Titled “The Beginnings,” the opening act portrayed the early chapters of the epic — King Shantanu’s marriage, Bhishma’s vow, the birth of Dhritarashtra, Pandu, and Vidur, the arrival of Karna, and the training of the princes under Guru Dronacharya. The young performers captivated the audience with expressive acting, graceful movements, and a confident stage presence, recreating the grandeur of ancient Hastinapur.
The performance, enriched by traditional music, thematic costumes, and striking stagecraft, reflected Aravali’s commitment to holistic education — where cultural understanding and creativity form an integral part of learning. Under the guidance of the Principal and the Cultural Committee, the school continues to encourage students to embrace art as a means of character development and emotional growth.
The production will continue with Day Two, themed “Rivalry and Deceit,” showcasing the conflicts and turning points that shape this timeless Indian epic.
