Applications invited for national water awards

Ludhiana, November 8, 2019: The Union Government has decided to honour organisations, that have made remarkable efforts towards water conservation, with National Water Awards. Applications in this regard have been invited from eligible organisations.
While holding a meeting in this regard, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Development) Mrs Amrit Singh informed that the Jal Shakti Department of Union government, Union Ministry of Water Resources, is organising the second National Water Awards competition which would be given to 'Best State', 'Bast District', 'Best Village Panchayat', ‘Best Municipal Corporation' or other Corporation Bodies', 'Best Schools ‘, ‘Best T. V Show' and 'Best Newspaper' categories.
She said that more details can be sought from the websites www.mowr.gov.in and www.cgwb.gov.in. Applications regarding the same can be submitted in the Office of Additional Deputy Commissioner (Development) Ludhiana till November 30, 2019.
