Applications for Cohort 3 of Certificate Program on Engineering Agentic AI Systems open

Hyderabad, August 17, 2026: IIIT Hyderabad’s Division of Flexible Learning (DFL) announced that applications are open for Cohort 3 of its 12-week certificate program, “Agentic AI: From Concepts to Practice”. This executive education program is suitable both for early careers as well as experienced working professionals and will transform them from being AI users to AI engineers. It will teach them how to design, build, deploy and operate production-ready agentic AI systems.
This intensive 12-week programme, requiring approximately 12 hours of learning per week, is designed to provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of Agentic AI systems. The programme combines live online interactive classes, recorded lectures, hands-on labs and practical projects, culminating in a planned campus immersion at IIIT Hyderabad towards the end of the programme. The curriculum is structured across four modules covering the foundations, design, implementation, evaluation, deployment and operations of Agentic AI systems. Applicants should have basic coding knowledge, preferably in Python, with one or more years of professional experience preferred. The programme fee is ₹90,000 plus GST, with limited scholarships and discounts that may be available. Upon successful completion, participants will receive a certificate from IIIT Hyderabad.
The program is led by Prof. Karthik Vaidhyanathan, Program Director, Assistant Professor at IIIT Hyderabad (SERC), and IEEE Software Associate Editor. The program will be delivered in an executive-friendly format which combines live online interactive faculty-led sessions, recorded lectures, hands-on labs and projects using a world-class learning management system and a campus immersion at IIIT Hyderabad planned towards the end of the program.

The Agentic AI certification program is a flagship which has had two very successful cohort completions. The third cohort, which is now open for applications, will be bigger and stronger, combining learnings from the first two.”
