A photograph of students of Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar who are to represent India in the 8th South Asian University Festival (SAUFEST) at Mohanlal Sukhadia University, Udaipur from 7-11 March 2015 by the Association of Indian Universities’ (IAU).
Jalandhar, November 12, 2014: The students of Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar have been selected by Ministry of Cultural Affairs, India to represent the country in the 8th South Asian University Festival (SAUFEST) being organised at Mohanlal Sukhadia University, Udaipur from 7-11 March 2015 by the Association of Indian Universities’ (IAU).
Dr. Sucharita, Principal of the college stated, “It is a matter of great pride and prestige that our college which has been a forerunner in promoting Performing Arts would be representing the country in SAUFEST yet again. This year four items have been selected from our college and this is the maximum number of items from any college. The four items that would be performed by the students of our college are Poster Making, Light Vocal, Folk Orchestra, and Folk Dance. This honour has been bestowed keeping in mind the excellence displayed by our student performers in the Inter University National Youth Festival 2013-14. Moreover, our college has been participating in SAUFEST every year, almost since the institution of this festival.”
