Sony SAB’s Itti Si Khushi follows Anvita (Sumbul Touqeer Khan) as she steps beyond survival to take control of her life. Caught between Sanjay’s (Rishi Saxena) growing insecurity and Virat’s (Rajat Verma) unresolved presence, now complicated by his powerful father Rajnath Verma (Farukh Saeed), Anvita faces choices that will test her resilience and relationships.
As the story moves ahead, Virat’s parents host a charity function at their home to felicitate Sanjay’s boss, the Commissioner. Determined to assert himself and make a statement in front of his father, Virat invites everyone from Suhas Niwas along with his Robin Hood friends. Meanwhile, the Commissioner, in recognition of his achievements, also extends an invitation to Sanjay and his family, a fact that Anvita remains unaware of. To stay in his boss’s good books, Sanjay hides this information from Anvita and ensures she attends the party alongside him. What begins as a celebratory evening soon spirals into chaos when Sanjay deliberately instigates Virat, leading to a heated argument that escalates into a public confrontation. Expecting Anvita’s support, Virat is left stunned as she shocks everyone by siding with Sanjay, telling Virat to stay away from their life.
How will Virat respond to this shock? Even after knowing Sanjay was wrong, Anvita’s decision to take his side leaves him grappling. Will he confront Anvita about her loyalty, or will this mark a turning point in their relationship?
Rajat Verma who essays the role of Virat, shares, “For Virat, this is a turning point. Even though he knows Sanjay was in the wrong, he has to come to terms with the fact that Anvita’s choice hurts him more than anything. As an actor, portraying Virat’s hurt, anger, and vulnerability has been challenging but also incredibly rewarding, because these are emotions everyone can relate to at some point in their life. I think viewers will connect deeply with this phase of his journey, as it shows that even strong, confident people can feel vulnerable and lost when their trust is tested.”
