Ludhiana, January 1, 2018: The AGM of Offset Printers Association was held on 24th December at the office of OPA at Ludhiana. This year the AGM was held in the presence of print leaders of 16 printers ‘associations from 15 cities of North India.
Welcoming the members, Mr.Parveen Aggarwal President said, “I am proud that OPA is working as one of the most active printers association of India. I am glad for the complete harmony amongst the office bearers and for the cooperation extended by the members of OPA for smooth and effective functioning. Today is the great day when printer leaders from so many association are present to practically see the workings and achievements of OPA.”
Presenting the annual report of OPA, Prof. Kamal Chopra announced that OPA is one and only association of India to get the reimbursement of about Rs. 2 crore from the Government of India for distribution to the printers for visiting international exhibitions under IC scheme. The year 2017 was one of the memorable one because OPA hosted the 64th AGM and 237th GC meeting of AIFMP at Amritsar in association with all the affiliate associations from Punjab. The major achievement of OPA during the year under report is the meeting for the promotion of printing was held with the Director of Industries Punjab. The meeting was held at Ludhiana where we highlighted the problems of printing and packaging industry. The meeting remained very fruitful and the DI assured for the wellbeing of printing industry of Punjab.

Mr. Hans Raj Chopra, Finance Secretary presented the audited balance sheet and the annual accounts till 23rd December, the house accepted the accounts and commanded the working of Mr. Hans Raj Chopra.
Mr. Parveen Aggarwal announced that since it is not the election year, we have not invited any nominations though as per routine the executive body and office bearers other than President and General Secretary will be dissolved so that new team may be nominated for the year 2018. Prof. Kamal Chopra, General Secretary invited the Team OPA 2017 to the dais and requested the President for presentation of siropa and memento to the team for their untiring working throughout the year. Prof. Chopra invited the names of interested members to that new team can be announced as early as possible.
