Annual Day Celebration with great fervor at Boys Hostel No 4

Chandigarh, May 1, 2023: The staff, residents and warden of Boys Hostel No. 4 celebrated Annual Day 2023 with great enthusiasm. The event kick started with formal introduction of Chief Guest, Prof. Emanual Nahar (Chairman, Minority Commission, Punjab), Guest of Honour, Prof. Sanjay Kaushik, DCDC, P.U., Chd. and Sh. Kumar Gaurav Dhawan, Deputy Director, PGI, Chandigarh. Prof. Emanual Nahar shared with the residents that he has been the  resident of this hostel and appraised that this is one of the best hostels of Panjab University, Chandigarh and asked the students to contribute positively to the development of Hostel.

Prof. Sanjay Kaushik shared that positive deeds of residents will enable them to get better placement opportunities and therefore they should contribute constructively to the holistic development of the Hostel. Mr. Kumar Gaurav Dhawan shared experiences of his student life at Panjab University and asserted that this is one of the best Universities among the world and they should be proud of this fact. The event proceeded with distribution of certificates of appreciation to Staff Members and Residents. 

Thereafter, the cultural performances by team of “Sarang the Band” were held wherein the members sang melodious songs and Punjabi folk song “Chhallha”. The event concluded with vote of thanks by Dr. Naveen Kumar, Warden BH-4 wherein he appreciated the efforts of Hostel Staff including  and all cleaning and supporting staff for extending the great help and making hostel function smoothly.
