Ludhiana, October 8, 2022: Annual Convocation of DMCH, Ludhiana was held today in Dumra Auditorium with grandeur and fervor to award degrees and prizes to students of MBBS Batch 2016.

Professor Rajiv Ahuja, Director IIT Ropar was the Chief Guest for this grand celebration. President DMCH Managing Society Sunil Kant Munjal, Vice President DMCH Managing Society Amrit Nagpal, Secretary DMCH Managing Society, Prem Kumar Gupta, Treasurer DMCH Managing Society Satish C. Sanwalka, Principal Dr Sandeep Puri, Vice Principal Dr Bishav Mohan, Dean Academics Dr Sandeep Kaushal, Medical Sudts Dr Ashwani K Chaudhary and Dr Sandeep Sharma graced the occasion.
The convocation started with an impressive academic procession.

Vice-Principal Dr Bishav Mohan introduced the chief guest to the audience and congratulated fresh young medical graduates.
Addressing the students as young medicos during the Convocation, President of DMCH Managing society Sunil Kant Munjal congratulated young graduates to start a new phase of their life. Further, Munjal, urged the students to focus more sharply and to explore new opportunities. He exhorted the students to become more inquisitive to learn more things as a health care provider and to learn from your mistakes.

Speaking on the occasion, Secretary DMCH Managing Society, Prem Kumar Gupta wished the students a successful career ahead and called upon the students to prove their ability in the field of patient care and bring laurels to DMCH.
 
Principal Dr Sandeep Puri declared ‘Convocation’ open and read ‘Annual College Report’ elaborating the achievements and progress made by the institution during the last one year and before the audience.
 
Dean Academics Dr Sandeep Kaushal in his address said that the students have worked hard day and night to earn their degrees and I hope that they will continue to be successful in their future endeavours.

Dr Kaushal administered the Hippocratic Oath to the fresh graduates before presenting them their degrees.

In all, 97 young doctors were awarded with their degrees and 66 medical students facilitated for their awards in professional examinations.

Gold Medal for Best Graduate was given to Dr Sukhmani Sidhu, Silver Medal for Second Best Graduate was given to Dr Aneesha Puri and ‘All Rounders Award’ was given to Dr Sukhmani Sidhu.
 
The chief guest Professor Rajeev Ahuja extended warm congratulations to the fresh medical graduates. In his keynote speech, he urged the students to put in a lot of effort for advancement and success as well as to maintain a positive sense of teamwork in order to succeed. According to Prof. Ahuja, the cornerstone for achieving your goals in the fields of medical education and research are relationship building, innovation, and research. Further Prof. Ahuja Stressed on to chase the knowledge (Saraswati) and success (Laxmi) will come after you.

The Convocation concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Dean Academics Dr Sandeep Kaushal.
