Jalandhar, December 6, 2025: The Annual Alumni Meet of Lyallpur Khalsa College marking 87th birth anniversary of Late Babir Singh, former Member Parliament, former Cabinet Minister, Punjab and former President of College Governing Council, was held today in the college campus.
Tapan Bhanot Deputy Director Punjab Land Records Society was the Chief Guest on this momentous occasion. Welcoming the alumni and the guests, the College Governing Council President Sardarni Balbir Kaur reiterated the commitment of the college to quality education.
In his address the College Principal Prof. Navdeep Kaur said that the institution owed a lot to the visionary guidance of Balbir Singh for its current status. She expressed her thanks towards the college alumni for their significant contribution to the institution in all possible ways. In his address, the Chief Guest Bhanot proudly connected his achievements to the college and lauded the efforts by the college towards maintaining its association with its former students.
The other notable alumni present on the occasion were Dr. S.P.S. Grover, Colonel Sukhbir Singh (Retd.), Dr. Arminder Singh (USA), Colonel Kuldeep Singh Dosanjh and Dalwinder Dayalpuri. The highlights of the event included folk song presentation by alumnus Dalwinder Dayalpuri and geet gazal presentation by Prof Sukhdev Singh Head of Music department and students.
Among distinguished people present were Deepinder Singh Purewal Vice President, Jaspal Singh Waraich, Joint Secretary, Prabh pal Singh Pannu Member Governing Council, along with Principals of various KCL institutions and former teachers of the college.
Prof. Sanjeev Anand, Coordinator of the Alumni Association event, formally thanked the assembled guests.
The stage on this occasion was conducted by Dr Surinderpal Mand.
