Anmol TV’s Humari Radha actress Simran Kaur reveals why her siblings also tie Rakhi to her

Anmol TV’s first fiction show, Humari Radha, has been winning hearts with its engaging storytelling and nuanced portrayal of relationships. As everyone gears up to celebrate Raksha Bandhan in the coming days, the show too is set to bring a major festive drama, with Girdhar’s (Akshay Mhatre) gift for Shanaya (Vaidehi Nair) getting accidentally interchanged and landing in Radha’s (Simran Kaur) brother’s hands, creating chaos and an intriguing turn in the narrative.

Amidst this festive drama, Simran Kaur, who essays the role of Radha, shares a heartwarming tradition she follows with her siblings, adding a beautiful and personal meaning to the festival. 

Though Simran is an only child, she has always shared a close bond with her cousins, whom she considers her siblings. Every Raksha Bandhan, she ties Rakhi not only to her cousin brothers but also to her sisters and, in turn, her siblings tie Rakhi to her as well. For Simran, the festival is a celebration of a bond built on mutual love, care and protection, where being there for each other is everyone’s responsibility.

Sharing what Raksha Bandhan means to her, Simran Kaur aka Radha says, “Raksha Bandhan has always been very special to me because it celebrates a bond that is built on love, care and always standing by each other. I’m an only child, but I’m fortunate to have many cousins whom I’ve always considered my siblings. So, every year, I tie Rakhi not just to my cousin brothers, but to my sisters as well, and they tie Rakhi to me too. For me, the essence of the festival is that protection and care should always be mutual; it’s not just a brother’s responsibility, but something every sibling should promise each other. As we grow older, we often get caught up in our lives and forget to express how much our siblings mean to us. Festivals like Raksha Bandhan are a beautiful reminder to pause, cherish that bond and tell them that they are loved and always have a special place in our lives.” 

Meanwhile, Humari Radha is set to take an emotional turn as Radha’s growing doubts about Girdhar (Akshay Mahatre) begin to challenge her faith in their relationship. Whether these doubts eventually lead her to uncover the truth about Girdhar and Shanaya (Vaidehi Nayar) remains to be seen.
