Ankush Rana & Sourav Kaundal of Green Field Public School Nagrota win School Quiz of CUHP

Dharamsala, September 23, 2014: In the line of Tourism week celebration, the Tourism Society of Central University of HP conducted Himachal School Quiz Competition on Tuesday at Shahpur, near Dharamsala, which brought-in seven groups of contestants in the fray from the famed schools: Gurukul Senior school Dharmasala, Green field Public School Nagrota, GSSS Shahpur, DAV school Palampur, Himalayan Public School Nagrota, Our Own English School Shahpur & New Era Public School Chhatdi. The competition was presided over by Prof. HR Sharma, Dean of Dean of School of Tourism, Travel& Hospitality Management.  The judges for the competition were Dr. Dalip Singh Verma, Assistant Professor, Department of Physics and Nimmala Karunakar, Assistant Professor, Department of liberary science of CUHP.
The competition was structured in five rounds; Elimination Round, GK, Current Affairs, Himachal Pradesh-Tourism and Sports. One team was dropped in the elimination Round and only six groups were qualified for the next round. Performing spectacularly, Ankush Rana & Sourav Kaundal of Green Field Public School bagged the first prize. Ayush Sharma and Aditya Sharma of Gurukul Sr. Secondary School kept the winners on their toes but finished with the second prize. Shelly Thakur and Suchetan Pathania of DAV school grasped the third place. The prize distribution ceremony will be held on 26 of this month.
