With screening of over 55 films and more than a dozen sessions along with lots of performances, the third Chandigarh Music and Film Festival concluded successfully today. Much inspiration was drawn by youth from the acclaimed actors, film makers and national awardees during the event.

Mohali/Chandigarh, May 9, 2023: With screening of over 55 films and more than a dozen sessions along with lots of performances, the third Chandigarh Music and Film Festival concluded successfully today. Much inspiration was drawn by youth from the acclaimed actors, film makers and national awardees during the event.

The concluding day highlight of the festival was the session, with three of the leading personalities of the Indian film industry - actors Rajendra Gupta, Rakesh Bedi and film director Ketan Anand. They shared insights and experiences with the audience discussing topics ranging from the creative process, understanding the character and emotions to the business side of filmmaking. The students at Chandigarh University were awe stuck on some of the stories they shared.

During the session, actor, Rakesh Bedi said, "I am extremely delighted to be a part of Chandigarh Music and Film Festival. I certainly believe and advise the youth aspiring to be part of film and music industry to prepare themselves prior to entering in the industry or any other field. Acquiring and Learning the skills well will lead to success in the chosen field. In most cases, chance is only once and hence its preparation is essential."

Actor Rajinder Gupta said ,"I am an actor for whom every role is a test, and I strive to perfect the art every time. An actor is nothing in himself but when his talent reaches the public, their support and acknowledgement is the true value of him. There are many emotions within any actor, if that is  recognized by oneself, the art will automatically shine.”

Film Director, Ketan Anand said, "Filmmaking is an art in which characters are created, if you have passion you can do anything success shall surely be achieved. A good cinema is one that people remember forever and that is what drives the film fraternity."

Rajesh Sharma, Festival Director of the Film Festival, said, “We are proud that the 3 days of third Chandigarh Music and Film Festival is yet another well appreciated and successful event. It has been an amazing journey, and we are grateful to all the artists, filmmakers and volunteers who made it possible. We look forward to have the learning imbibed by the budding talent to bring some amazing stories during the next year's festival, and we hope to have the continued support of the local arts community."

The festival had a diverse selection of films and shorts showcasing the talent and creativity of local filmmakers with notable short films screened including "Rishtan ka Bojh" directed by Sanjeev Kumar Sharma, "Land of Martyrs" directed by Jagdeep Sandhu, "Tera Mera Viah" directed by Amit Shah, "The Maji" directed by Siddharth Kumar. "Pehchan" directed by Yogesh Arora, "Daivasthana: Culture of Tulunad" directed by Utsav Mishra and "Barat" directed by Dhawan amongst many others. From thought-provoking documentaries to heart-warming plays, the festival had something for everyone. The quality of films screened was a testament to the vibrant and thriving film scene in Chandigarh.
