An e- poster and quiz competition held

Ludhiana, July 18, 2022: In view of forthcoming ‘World Hepatitis Day’, to be held on 28th July, Department of Microbiology, DMCH organized an e-poster and quiz competition for MBBS 2nd professional students. The whole batch enthusiastically participated in the competition.

The event was coordinated by Dr.Veenu Gupta, Professor and Head Department of Microbiology and judged by Dr Bhawna Malhotra from Department of  Pathology, Dr. Ekta Bansal form  Biochemistry, Dr. Mahesh Satija form Community Medicine,  Dr. Rajesh Kumar from Transfusion Medicine and Dr Menal Gupta from Department of Microbiology. Winning teams were awarded with the prizes by Dr. Sandeep Kaushal, Dean Academics.

Various informative and expressive e- posters were presented by the students during the events which covered various perspectives related to Hepatitis A, B, C and E and its management.

Dr Sandeep Puri Principal and Dr Sandeep Kaushal, Dean Academics appreciated the efforts of the department  of Microbiology for organising such events for the students.

In his message Dr Veenu Gupta, Professor and Head Department of Microbiology said that the main purpose to conduct this event is to create awareness among students about Hepatitis and its current scenario, such competitions act as a platform at which students can exchange their knowledge and interact each other.

Winners for quiz competition were 1st prize bagged by Arhit Sood, Archit Johri, Ritvik Gupta and Rishabh Garg ,  2nd Prize bagged by Pranav Monga and Pratham Chug  and 3rd Prize bagged by Abhay Takiar, Harjas Singh Sahota and Krish Aditya Sharma.

Winners for e posters competition were, 1st Prize bagged by  Harjas Singh Sahota, Hiyanoor Ghosh, Aditi Sehgal, Sehaj Singh, Sharan Kaur, Shubhkaran Singh Gill and Siddharth Singla, 2nd Prize bagged by Archit Johri and Archit Sood, 3rd Prize Bagged by Manshar Garg, Onkar Bharti, Prakriti and Yuvika.
