Amity University celebrates 73rd Republic Day 

Noida, January 26, 2022: Amity University, Noida, Uttar Pradesh celebrated the 73rd Republic Day with great fervor and grandeur. This year , the 73rd Republic Day is being celebrated at Amity University under the broader ambit of "Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav".   
 
Expressing pleasure on the occasion, Dr. Ashok K. Chauhan, Founder President, Amity Education Group, said, “We are proud to be celebrating this day today and we should always think about the development and growth of our country as nation comes first, we are happy that so many people have joined us today, the people of Amity give me the strength and energy to constantly keep working and moving forward. I congratulate all the participants who participated in today’s programme. Amity has always laid great emphasis on "values" and "sanskars" and it is these values which make us a responsible and dedicated citizen of our country.” 
 
Sharing his views on the occasion, Dr. Atul Chauhan, Chancellor, Amity University, averred, “We are proud to be celebrating the 73rd Republic Day today and it is on this day that we come together to remind ourselves of the responsibilities that we have towards our nation. We at Amity are nurturing the future leaders of tomorrow and Amitians are a shining example of our commitment towards our nation. We instill the values and culture amongst our students which fill them with the spirit of nationality and patriotism. We have taken so many initiatives such as the Amity Military camp with the sole purpose of working for the nation and instilling a sense of pride and purpose of constantly striving to work for the nation. We, at Amity, will keep working together towards changing the world and making it a better place to live in. “ 
 
Addressing the gathering on the occasion, Dr. Balvinder Shukla, Vice Chancellor, Amity University, Uttar Pradesh, stated, “Our Founder President’s great vision and leadership has always motivated and encouraged us to achieve our goals and aim for the highest. We believe that Amity is our family where each and every member should be well taken care of. Research and innovation is the focus of Amity University which contributes significantly to the economic growth of our country. With our newly introduced programmes such as Defence Technology and Defence studies, we aim to align ourselves with one goal which is nation building. We will continue to work hard and keep making our country proud by achieving huge success in all our endeavours.” 
 
Under the Amrit Mahotsav of Independence at Amity University, Amity Business School organized a debate competition on "Celebrating unheard heroes in India's freedom struggle - a lesson or just a folklore" and a poster making competition on India's rich cultural heritage. Apart from this, debate competition and Rainbow Poster Making Competition were organized by Amity Institute of Applied Sciences. A Quiz Competition by Amity School of Engineering and Technology, Essay Writing Competition, Poetry Recitation Competition and Slogan Competition were also organized. A programme of poetry and song recitation, “Veer Gatha” was also conducted by the Literature Club Hindi Creation of Amity Institute of Education. Several cultural programmes, including beautiful song and dance performances and a special session on “Surya Namaskar” were also presented by the students of Amity on this occasion.
