Grewal wrote on his official social media platforms that the historic and well planned Free Trade Agreements signed under the dynamic leadership of Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi with the United States the United Kingdom and the European Union are not only strengthening India’s global position but are also opening massive opportunities for farmers fishermen youth entrepreneurs and small industries across the nation. These agreements are designed with national interest at heart ensuring protection of agriculture livestock dairy and sensitive sectors while expanding exports employment and prosperity.
Grewal told that it is extremely unfortunate that Rahul Gandhi is attempting to mislead farmers and fishermen by spreading confusion and misinformation about these agreements. Such politics of fear and falsehood damages national unity and creates unnecessary doubt among hardworking citizens. The people of India are wise and aware and they fully understand who is working honestly for their welfare and who is trying to create confusion for political gain.
He said that under the Modi government every agreement is signed after deep study national consultation and full protection of farmers and rural economy unlike the previous Congress regime led by former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh when several international agreements failed to adequately safeguard agricultural interests. Today India is moving forward with confidence strength and global respect.
Grewal told that the statement of Union Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal clearly highlights that nearly seventy percent of global trade markets are now open for India through Free Trade Agreements with thirty eight developed nations which will boost exports create large scale employment and empower farmers fishermen MSMEs and youth. Sensitive sectors like dairy agriculture and genetically modified food remain fully protected while employment generating sectors like textiles leather and electronics are expanding globally.
He said that the fishermen community in particular will gain significant benefits from these agreements through expanded export markets improved prices better infrastructure and global recognition of Indian products. This is true inclusive development and real empowerment not empty slogans.
Grewal told that Rahul Gandhi should study facts understand policy and respect the truth before making public statements. Repeating falsehood loudly cannot hide reality.
