Ludhiana, May 23, 2022: Addressing a gathering of all the office bearers of Punjabi Sahitya Academy, Ludhiana Amardeep Singh Hari, World renowned Punjabi businessman from Ghana emphasized for Promoting Punjabi language being a moral duty which needs to be fulfilled by no other than but Punjabis themselves and this they must do whether they are living in India or abroad. He further stated that an agenda should be set for the spread of language from family to world and he also suggested that the children studying in the public and convent schools of Punjab should distribute books for different Punjabi language competitions and make them district wise Starting from home where a mother must understand that the mother tongue is that language in which a mother communicates with her children, thus it is her moral duty to stick to her Punjabi speaking with them strictly. On the school level, every English medium school having Punjabi children can find creative ways of encouraging Punjabi such as creating competition of reading Punjabi books and then awarding them with a prize of another Punjabi book. Every Punjabi parent should discuss with their schools authorities about such initiatives.

Ghana based Punjabi businessmen Amardeep Hari thanked eminent Author and Nature Artist Harpreet Sandhu for his sincere efforts towards coordinating this educative cause with Punjabi Sahit Academy. The Ghana based Business Entrepreneur Amardeep Hari also handed over a cheque of Rupees One Lakh to Dr. Lakhwinder Singh Johal, President of Punjabi Sahitya Academy, Dr. Shyam Sundar Deepti, Senior Vice President and Dr. Guriqbal Singh, General Secretary of the Academy as a noble contribution.

The President of the Academy Dr. Lakhwinder Singh Johal thanked Amardeep Singh Hari for his suggestions and said that in a country like Ghana we are proud to be associated with the Academy of Punjabi Literature and Language and also thanked the Chairman Punjab Infotech Harpreet Sandhu for this connection. He said that the members and patrons residing abroad would also be activated for the academy functions. They are also looking for possibilities for e-voting.

On becoming the Patron of the Academy, Amardeep Singh Hari was presented with a set of writings of the great poet Tagore published by the Academy. Speaking on the occasion former President of Punjabi Sahitya Academy Prof. Gurbhajan Singh Gill said that Amardeep Singh Hari was also striving for the Punjab Government to make a valuable contribution in the field of skill development.
