Alchemist gets 'Prashashti Patra' for support in govt’s Arogyam project
Panchkula, February 6, 2019: Haryana Governor Satyadev Narayan Arya has awared 'Prashashti Patra' to Alchemist Hospital, Panchkula for its unconditional support to the ‘Motorbike Ambulance’ project which was launched by Haryana Government under Arrogyam programme in hilly areas of state including Morni. The District Red Cross Society runs the programme with the help of the health institutions and Alchemist is one of them . The project is to help the patients in hill areas, who often face problem to reach in health centers on time during emergiencies due to the lack of public transport. Haryana CM , Manohar Lal Khattar launched ‘Arogyam, a Motorbike Ambulance’ project in May 2017 , which was first-of-its-kind programme in North India to provide emergency health services including motorbike medical services for hill areas. Alchemist Hospital provided unconditional support to motorcycle ambulances and which was appreciated by the government of Haryana as commendable services to the patients in Morni. Meanwhile Panchkula administration has been running the services free of charge in five clusters of the Morni block and a cluster of the Pinjore block in Panchkula district. Trained paramedical staff tours these areas on six motorcycles everyday and correspond with the Primary Health Centre (PHC), Morni, in order to deliver vaccination and other services. Motorcycle ambulances is an initiative to cater the needs of patients in hilly terrain of Morni and Pinjore. These Motorbikes are specially fabricated two-wheelers equipped with medical facilities. These motorbike services are very helpful for expectant mothers, emergency services for elderly people and vaccination to children.
