Following the reveal of the female lead, Sun Neo has now built further excitement around its upcoming show Prathaon Ki Odhe Chunri: Beendani by introducing the male lead. Actor Akash Jagga steps into the role of Kundan — a strong, emotionally layered character who is set to leave a lasting impression on viewers.
The promo opens in a vibrant Rajasthani panchayat — rich in color, thick with tension, and burdened by the weight of age-old customs. Ghevar, a young woman with quiet strength, finds herself trapped in an age-old custom she never agreed to, forced into a ritual meant to repay a family debt. Just when it seems there's no way out, Kundan — the composed and confident son of a wealthy household — arrives unannounced. In front of the stunned villagers, he claims Ghevar as his Beendani (wife) and walks away with her, breaking one chain. But is this truly a rescue or is it Universe's way of uniting them? Why did Kundan rescue her? What ties him to Ghevar? What does fate have in store for them?
Sharing his excitement, Akash Jagga said, “I’m truly grateful to be playing the lead in Sun Neo's Prathaon Ki Odhe Chunri: Beendani. Kundan’s character has so many layers, and I’m sure viewers will connect with him just as much as I have. When our writer and producer Raghuvir Shekhawat sir told me, ‘You’ll enjoy playing this role; there’s so much to explore,’ it really stuck with me. Kundan is emotionally deep and shaped by his past. And since I was born and raised in Rajasthan, the story feels more personal to me.”
