In the episode, ‘Choo Kar Mere Mann Ko’, Akanksha Puri essays the role of consultant Dr. Kavya Khanna, a therapist who helps people openly address concerns around sexual health, relationships, lifestyle and other personal challenges. Having experienced struggles in her own life, Kavya brings empathy and a deeper understanding to her profession, creating a safe space for people to speak about issues they often hesitate to discuss. As she helps others navigate their relationships and personal lives, she is also compelled to confront her own past and rediscover her strength.
Akanksha Puri said, “I have worked on other shows with Hungama OTT in the past as well. In Hasratein, my episode is titled ‘Chookar Mere Mann Ko’, where I play therapist Dr. Kavya Khanna. Through her own experiences, she understands what it feels like to be neglected by a partner. Through her profession, she tries to help couples understand each other and have a happier married life.
“In real life, many people hesitate to talk when one partner is not happy in a relationship. But it is completely normal to face such issues. Just like we talk about a headache or body pain, we should also be able to talk openly about relationship problems. Discussing them with your partner or a doctor can help find the right solution.“This episode tries to highlight a very important and sensitive topic, and I hope the audience connects with it.”
Hasratein Season 4 premieres on Hungama OTT on August 25, with two new episodes releasing every week. The first two episodes, Runaway Mother and Jhatpat Aarti, will premiere on August 25, followed by Chhoo Kar Mere Mann Ko and Makaan Maalik on September 1, and Finding Voice and You Are Pretty on September 8. With six women, six stories, and one unshakable desire to live and love on their own terms, Hasratein Season 4 promises to take viewers deeper into stories of desire, resilience, and self-discovery.
