Dharamshala, October 19, 2019: Former minister and Congress national secretary Sudhir Sharma has once again stated that only bad health is the reasons of his not contesting the current election.
Sudhir, who yesterday returned back to Dharamshala, said in an informal conversation with the media at his residence in Rakkar today stating that “I was not been able to contest this time due to my health reasons. According to the advice of doctors, it will take about two more months for me to recover”.
He again reiterated that he belonged to the Congress and will remain a Congressman. He said that he is a congress worker that is why he called on all the booth level workers of the entire assembly constituency in Dharamshala at his residence to strengthen the Congress party on the last day of campaigning.
He said that some of his friends keep trying to discredit him. But he was a Congressman from the beginning and is a Congressman and will remain a Congressman. Sharma said that a crowd of thousands of activists gathered at his residence from the entire assembly constituency is telling how much he loves his own party. He called upon Congress workers to stand with the party.
Hundreds of workers were arriving at Sudhir Sharma’s residence on Saturday and Sudhir Sharma was meeting the workers. Every worker who reached there was wishing for his speedy recovery. On the last day of campaigning, Sudhir met the office-bearers of all 88 booths of Dharamshala assembly constituency as well as general workers and appealed to them to win by a large majority of Congress.
