Chandigarh, August 8, 2026: Director Amit Rai's Ohh My Dog continued its heartwarming journey across India with a special audience screening in Chandigarh, where the film received an overwhelming response ahead of its theatrical release on August 7.

The Chandigarh screening saw audiences warmly embrace the film's emotional storytelling, heartfelt performances and universal message of kindness and compassion. The enthusiastic response further reaffirmed the makers' belief in building the film through genuine audience appreciation and strong word of mouth.

Director Amit Rai attended the screening and engaged in an interactive session with the audience, sharing stories from the making of Ohh My Dog and speaking about the inspiration behind creating a film that celebrates empathy, hope and the special bond between humans and animals.

The Chandigarh screening marks another successful stop in the film's nationwide audience preview tour, which has already travelled through Indore, Delhi, Pune, Lucknow, Kolkata, Patna, Ahmedabad, Guwahati, Bengaluru and Hyderabad. With Mumbai set to host the final screening, the film now heads into its nationwide theatrical release on August 7 with growing audience momentum.

The release strategy echoes the successful rollout of critically acclaimed films such as The Lunchbox and Laapataa Ladies, where authentic audience recommendations and positive word of mouth played a pivotal role in driving sustained theatrical success.

Every city has welcomed the film with so much warmth, and Chandigarh has been no exception. We made this film with the hope of spreading kindness and compassion, and watching people connect so deeply with its emotions has been the greatest reward for all of us. I hope audiences continue to shower the film with the same love when it arrives in cinemas on August 7."

Produced by Amit Rai, Rajesh Bhardwaj and Sana Warsi under the banners of Babulal Biscope and Thinking Hats Entertainment, Ohh My Dog stars Maahi Rai, Pankaj Tripathi, Geeta Aggarwal Sharma, Rajesh Kumar, Pawan Malhotra, Sulakhyana Baruah and Vijay Mishra, alongside canine stars Oscar and Bruno, with over 250 dogs featured in the film.
