Fatehgarh Sahib, June 10, 2015: The Darshan Didar Yatra, a unique initiative of the Punjab Government and Shiromani Gurudwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) for the darshan of the relics of three Sikh Guru's today left for SAS Nagar after a two day halt in Fatehgarh Sahib. Singh Sahib Giani Mal Singh, Jathedar of Takhat Sri Kesgarh Sahib, performed Ardas on the occasion. A contingent of Punjab Police led by DSP Hardavinder Singh Sandhu also gave a guard of honour.
A sea of devotees had gathered on this occasion, and prominent among those present on the occasion included SGPC Executive Committee member Karnail Singh Panjoli, ADC Shruti Sharma, SSP Gurmeet Singh Randhawa, ADC (D) Sanjeev Garg, SDM Fatehgarh Sahib Pooja Syal Grewal, SDM Bassi Pathana Sukhdev Singh Mahal, SDM Amloh Dr Ravjot Grewal, SDM Khamano Arina Duggal, SP Daljit Singh Rana, SGPC members Ravinder Singh Khalsa and Gurpreet Singh Randhawa, Avtar Singh Sempla, Manager Amarjit Singh, Deputy Manager Rajinder Singh, besides several others.
When the yatra reached Gurudwara Jyoti Saroop Sahib, thousands of devotees welcomed it with enthusiasm. On this occasion, Member of Parliament Prem Singh Chandumajra offered Siropas to the panj piaras. Prominent among those present here included Central Cooperative Bank MD Harinderpal Singh Chandumajra, Zila Parishad chairman Baljit Singh Bhutta, Hardev Singh Harpalpur, Davinder Singh Bhappu, Udham Singh, Ajaib Singh Jakhwali, Sher Singh, Davinder Singh Behlolpur, Sandeep Bholia, Karamjit Singh Bhagrana, Soma Rani, Paramjit Kaur Bhagrana, Kulwinder Singh Dera, Harvel Singh Madhopur, besides several others.
The yatra then passed through Attewali, Kotla Bajwara, Bhaironpur, Dufera Chowk, Peer Jain Chowk, Isser Hail Jorepul, Badali Ala Singh and other villages before reaching Gurudwara Sahib in Chunni Kalan. Thousands of devotees welcomed the yatra here. On this occasion, Bassi Pathana MLA Justice Nirmal Singh and Halqa incharge Fatehgarh Sahib Didar Singh Bhatti offered siropas to the panj piaras. Prominent among those present here included former minister Randhir Singh Cheema, SAD Executive Committee member Ranjit Singh Libra, Nagar Council Sirhand president Tarlok Singh Bajwa, Sharanjit Singh Rajwara, Bhupinder Singh Hans, Baba Tarsem Singh, Davinder Singh Ladi, Amrik Singh Attewali, Karamjit Singh, Hardeep Singh, Sarabjit Kaur Baby, Manpreet Singh, Parvinder Singh Somal, Jasmel Singh Badala, Darshan Singh Billa, Iqbal Singh Bali, Lakhbir Singh Babla, Pardeep Singh Kalaur, Daulat Ram, besides several others.
From here, the Darshan Didar Yatra reached SAS Nagar district after passing through the Morinda T-Point and SYL Canal. For the devotees, several stalls of chabeel and langar were set up throughout the way.
