Panchkula, April 15, 2026: To understand and explore India’s rapidly evolving healthcare ecosystem and as part of their Executive Health Management and Leadership Programme, a high-level delegation of medical professionals from Strathmore University, Kenya, visited Park Hospital Panchkula on Wednesday.
The delegation, led by Dr Tecla Kivuli and supported by University Administration Coordinator Ms Salome, toured the city healthcare ecosystem to study private-sector excellence, advanced clinical infrastructure, and digital health innovations.
During their visit, the delegates engaged in detailed discussions on the scope of telemedicine, including the potential to establish India–Kenya telemedicine linkages. They also explored structured training programmes for Kenyan doctors and paramedics at Park Hospitals, strengthening future collaboration in medical education and capacity building.
Key strategic discussions were also focused on global healthcare budgets and economic trends, including rising healthcare expenditures, value-based care models, and increasing investments in digital health solutions.
A major highlight of the visit was the delegation’s strong appreciation of India’s cost advantage in advanced medical treatments. The delegates were amazed to learn that the cost of treatment in India is nearly one-tenth compared to the USA and Western countries.
The delegates appreciated the Park hospital’s patient-centric design and global standards, and acknowledged that it is well-equipped across multiple super specialties.
