Admissions for Distance and Online Programmes open till September 15; - Vice-Chancellor Prof. Milap Punia releases Admission Prospectus
MDU, Rohtak has commenced the admission process for the academic session 2026-27 at its Centre for Distance and Online Education (CDOE). Vice-Chancellor Prof. Milap Punia today released the admission prospectus for various programmes offered by the Centre. The online admission portal has been activated, and interested candidates can submit their applications online till September 15.
Rohtak, August 7, 2026: MDU, Rohtak has commenced the admission process for the academic session 2026-27 at its Centre for Distance and Online Education (CDOE). Vice-Chancellor Prof. Milap Punia today released the admission prospectus for various programmes offered by the Centre. The online admission portal has been activated, and interested candidates can submit their applications online till September 15.
Releasing the prospectus, VC Prof. Milap Punia said that in the changing educational landscape, distance and online education are playing a vital role in making higher education more accessible and convenient. He said the university is committed to providing quality education supported by modern technology-based learning facilities. He added that the CDOE offers an excellent opportunity to students who are unable to pursue regular education due to professional, personal, or other commitments.
The Vice-Chancellor said the university is continuously upgrading its academic programmes and teaching methodologies to meet the evolving educational needs of students. Expanding the reach of higher education through distance and online learning remains one of the university's key priorities, he added.
CDOE Director Prof. Rajesh Dhankhar briefed about the admission process and the programmes being offered by the Centre. Prof. Dhankhar said candidates can apply online for various courses, and the admission prospectus containing detailed information about eligibility, programmes, and other admission-related guidelines is available on the university website.
Among those present on the occasion were Dean, Academic Affairs Prof. A.S. Mann, Registrar Prof. Sandeep Bansal, Proctor Prof. Randeep Rana, Dean CDC Prof. Rajesh Punia, Dean R&D Prof. Harish Dureja, Director UCC Prof. Yudhvir Singh, Director IQAC Prof. B. Narasimhan, Director Public Relations Sunit Mukherjee, along with other faculty members and university officials.
Courses Offered
Under the Open and Distance Learning (ODL) mode, the Centre offers BA, B.Com, MA (Hindi, Sanskrit, English, Political Science, Public Administration, Economics, History, Journalism and Mass Communication), M.Com, and M.Sc. (Mathematics) programmes.
Under the Online mode, admissions are available in BA, MA (Hindi, Political Science, Public Administration, Economics, and History), M.Com, and M.Sc. (Mathematics).
The Centre also offers several Certificate Courses. Under the ODL mode, these include Food Truck Operations, German Language, French Language, Spanish Language, and Communication Skills in English. The Online mode offers certificate programmes in Food Truck Operations, Professional Skills, German Language, French Language, Spanish Language, and Communication Skills in English.
