Admission to Professional Programmes begins at CDOE

Admissions to professional programmes at the Centre for Distance and Online Education (CDOE), Panjab University, Chandigarh, have commenced for the academic session 2025-26. A total of 29 programmes, including undergraduate, postgraduate, advanced diplomas and certificate courses had opened for applications on July 17, 2025, attracting a significant number of registrations.

Chandigarh, August 19, 2025: Admissions to professional programmes at the Centre for Distance and Online Education (CDOE), Panjab University, Chandigarh, have commenced for the academic session 2025-26. A total of 29 programmes, including undergraduate, postgraduate, advanced diplomas and certificate courses had opened for applications on July 17, 2025, attracting a significant number of registrations.

The B.Ed. programme witnessed 1,750 applications against 800 available seats from candidates across Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, and Rajasthan. The first round of counseling for B.Ed. began today, and will continue until August 21, 2025.

Similarly, the MBA programme received 1,020 applications for 500 seats, with 530 candidates qualifying through the entrance test. MBA counseling is scheduled for August 22 and 23, 2025. Admissions to the 75 seats of the ADGC programme under the Education discipline have already been completed.

 

In line with the implementation of the National Education Policy (NEP), Panjab University has introduced the B.Com (Hons.) under the NEP (FYUG) framework from this session. Admissions to non-professional programmes, including B.LIS, B.Com (Hons.) under NEP, and the B.A. (old) three-year programme, will remain open until September 15, 2025.

To facilitate students, all admission-related services are being provided through a physical counseling camp at CDOE.
