Admission process underway for 4000 seats of MDU's 100 PG courses: Director PR Sunit Mukherjee
The admission process is currently underway for the academic session 2026-27 at MDU's University Teaching Departments (UTDs) and MDU-CPAS, Gurugram. Admissions are open for Postgraduate (PG) programs, LLB (Hons) 3-year, B.P.Ed, Employability Enhancement Certificate, Diploma, PG Diploma, M.Tech programs, and the two-year DTISL and DISLI courses. A total of 4,000 seats across 100 courses are available under this admission process.
Rohtak, June 20, 2026: The admission process is currently underway for the academic session 2026-27 at MDU's University Teaching Departments (UTDs) and MDU-CPAS, Gurugram. Admissions are open for Postgraduate (PG) programs, LLB (Hons) 3-year, B.P.Ed, Employability Enhancement Certificate, Diploma, PG Diploma, M.Tech programs, and the two-year DTISL and DISLI courses. A total of 4,000 seats across 100 courses are available under this admission process.
MDU’s Director of Public Relations Sunit Mukherjee stated that students can apply online via the university website until June 28 for admission to approximately 4,000 seats across 100 courses, including PG, LLB (Hons) 3-year, B.P.Ed, Certificate, Diploma, and PG Diploma programs. Admissions will be based on an entrance examination.
Sunit Mukherjee provided details regarding the seat intake for courses conducted in the University Teaching Departments: M.A. Education (30), M.Ed (50), M.P.Ed (40), B.P.Ed (100), M.A. English (60), M.A. Hindi (60), M.A. Journalism and Mass Communication (40), M.A. Sanskrit (75), M.A. Music (Vocal) (15), M.A. Music (Instrumental - Sitar) (15), M.A. Fine Arts (Drawing and Painting) (15), M.A. Yoga Science (50), M.A. Defence and Strategic Studies (50), M.A. Economics (60), M.A. Geography (50), M.A. History (70), M.Lib & Information Science (45), and M.A. Seats available include 60 in Political Science, 40 in MA Psychology, 50 in MA Public Administration, 50 in MA Sociology, 25 in MSc Forensic Science, 120 in the three-year LLB (Hons) program, 30 in LLM, and 60 in LLM (SFS).
The Director PR stated that seats are available as follows: 20 in MSc Bioinformatics, 20 in Biotechnology, 20 in Agricultural Biotechnology, 30 in Medical Biotechnology, 40 in Biochemistry, 40 in Botany, 35 in Environmental Sciences, 20 in Environmental Biotechnology, 20 in Food Technology, 30 in Genetics, 20 in Microbial Biotechnology, 25 in Microbiology, 40 in Zoology, 30 in Master of Hotel Management and Catering Technology, 40 in Master of Tourism and Travel Management, 180 in MBA, and 60 in M.Com.
Additionally, seats are available in the following courses: 10 in M.Pharmacy (Industrial Pharmacy), 15 in Pharmaceutical Chemistry, 10 in Pharmacognosy, 10 in Drug Regulatory Affairs, 90 in MSc Chemistry, 60 in MCA, 40 in MSc Computer Science, 40 in MSc Computer Science (Data Science and Machine Learning), 30 in M.Tech Computer Science, 60 in MSc Mathematics, 120 in MSc Mathematics (FFS), 60 in MSc Physics, 50 in MSc Statistics, 30 in MA Hindu Studies, 60 in MBA Business Psychology, and 30 in MA Guidance and Counselling.
Additionally, the available seat counts are as follows: M.Tech in Biotechnology (18), M.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering (24 and 30), M.Tech in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (24), M.Tech in Electronics and Communication Engineering (18), M.Tech in Manufacturing and Automation (24), M.Tech in Mechanical Engineering (24), M.Tech in Structural Engineering (24), and M.Tech in Power Systems (24). For working professionals, 15 seats each are available in the M.Tech programs for Computer Science and Engineering, Power Systems, and Mechanical Engineering.
At MDU-CPAS, Gurugram, the available seats are: MBA (180), MBA Executive Evening (30), LLB (Hons) 3-Year (120), LLM Shift-1 (45), and LLM Shift-2 (45).
