Administration repairs water drains in Khanna overnight, prevents accumulation of water in residential areas   

Khanna (Ludhiana), July 12, 2023: Keeping in view of the prevailing situation and preventing the accumulation of water in the residential colonies in Khanna, the district administration acted swiftly and completed water works in Gaib Di Puli on intervening night of Wednesday. 

A team led by SDM Samrala Kuldeep Singh Bawa, who also holds additional charge of Khanna sub-division, remained on the toes for more than six hours and ensured the clearing the bottlenecks to ensure smooth flow of water in the traditional and old bodies. The JCB machines along with adequate manpower were deputed there to complete the gigantic task as soon as possible. 

Bawa said that the entire district administration was with the people in this hour of crisis and we are leaving no stone unturned to provide relief to the flood-affected residents of the villages. He said that elaborate arrangements were made in the rescue centres where meal, food items and medical facilities are available round the clock.
