Administration directs departments to ensure smooth territorial Army recruitment rally from ov 17–30

Ludhiana, Nov 11, 2025: The district administration and Army officials from Dholewal Military Complex held a coordination meeting on Tuesday to finalize preparations for the Territorial Army recruitment rally, scheduled from November 17 to 30 in Ludhiana. 

Emphasizing seamless inter-departmental collaboration, the administration assigned specific duties to ensure the event’s smooth and successful conduct in close partnership with the Army.

This recruitment drive is open to domiciliates of Punjab (excluding Pathankot and SAS Nagar), Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Union Territories of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh, Chandigarh, and NCT of Delhi. The selection process will be fair, transparent, and strictly merit-based, with no payments required at any stage. Available positions include Soldier (General Duty) – 716, Clerk – 02, Chef Community – 06, ER – 02, Artisan Metallurgy – 01, Housekeeper – 01, Tailor – 02, and Mess Keeper – 01. Candidates must be aged 18 to 42 years as on the date of recruitment.

The rally commences on November 17 for applicants from Punjab, Haryana, and Ladakh UT seeking Clerk and Tradesmen roles across all Infantry Battalions Zone-1, including the 103 Infantry Battalion (TA) Sikh LI in Ludhiana. It continues on November 18 for candidates from Jammu & Kashmir UT and NCT Delhi; November 19 for Himachal Pradesh and Chandigarh; November 21 for Amritsar, Fatehgarh Sahib, and Barnala; November 22 for Gurdaspur, Ropar, and Kapurthala; November 23 for Mansa, Ferozepur, and Malerkotla; November 25 for Bathinda, Hoshiarpur, and SBS Nagar; November 26 for Sangrur, Moga, and Faridkot; November 28 for Tarn Taran, Patiala, and Jalandhar; November 29 for Fazilka and Ludhiana; and concludes on November 30 with Muktsar. All candidates must report by 02:00 AM; entry will be denied after 05:00 AM.

Eligibility requires a minimum height of 160 cm, weight of 50 kg, and chest measurement of 77 cm with 5 cm expansion. For Soldier (General Duty), candidates need Class 10th with 45% aggregate and 33% in each subject (or equivalent D Grade individually and C2 overall in grading systems). Soldier (Clerk) requires 10+2 in any stream with 60% aggregate and 50% in each subject, including mandatory 50% in English and Maths/Accounts/Book Keeping. Soldier (Tradesmen) needs Class 10th pass (8th pass acceptable for Housekeeper and Mess Keeper). Essential documents include Domicile, Character, and Caste Certificates, 20 colored passport-size photos, original marksheets, PAN and Aadhaar copies, and unmarried/married certificate as applicable.

Detailed discussions focused on security, traffic, and essential services. Police will deploy adequate personnel for perimeter security, crowd management, anti-social element surveillance, and traffic control. The Health Department will provide doctors, ambulances, pathology support, and drug-testing facilities. Sanitation, drinking water, and power supply will remain uninterrupted, with Municipal Corporation Ludhiana ensuring round-the-clock cleanliness, mobile toilets, and water points. while Fire & Emergency Services will station equipment and personnel for safety.
