The administration on Wednesday issued a firm assurance that there is absolutely no cause for panic regarding the availability of LPG cylinders/diesel/petrol confirming that the district currently holds adequate stock to meet public demand.
Ludhiana, March 11,2026: The administration on Wednesday issued a firm assurance that there is absolutely no cause for panic regarding the availability of LPG cylinders/diesel/petrol confirming that the district currently holds adequate stock to meet public demand.
Deputy Commissioner Himanshu Jain clarified that the supply chain is functioning smoothly and stocks are sufficient and urged residents to refrain from indulging in panic buying, stating that unnecessary hoarding creates artificial shortages and disrupts the distribution system.
Jain stated that there is no need for the public to panic and the district has sufficient stock of LPG cylinders/diesel/petrol. He appealed to the citizens to not be swayed by rumours and panicky buying will only cause inconvenience to others. He informed that the administration has sought daily detailed reports regarding the stock and supply status of LPG, diesel, and petrol in the district to ensure seamless availability of all essential fuels. He also reiterated the commitment to maintaining essential supplies and warned against spreading misinformation regarding shortages. He also advised the citizens to rely on official communications for updates on stock availability.
In this regard, Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Poonam Singh also held a meeting with representatives of LPG gas agencies and oil companies regarding the current supply situation.
