Ludhiana, Sep 29, 2025: To celebrate creativity, culture, and talent,, the district administration will organize a vibrant series of competitions to engage the youth during the upcoming Saras Mela, scheduled from October 4 to October 13, 2025, at Punjab Agricultural University (PAU).
The unique competition will be held each day of the 10-day event, culminating in a special photography event on the final day. The competitions aim to showcase the diverse skills of young participants and foster community engagement. The competitions include painting, pottery, Turban Tying, Mehandi, Face Painting, Bottle Painting, Phulkari, Rangoli and Photography Event. The dates for the competitions will be announced later in this week. There will be no age limit for the participants.
Deputy Commissioner Himanshu Jain stated that winners for each competition will be selected by a panel of experts, ensuring a fair and professional evaluation process. Attractive cash prizes will be awarded to the winners, recognizing their talent and encouraging participation in cultural and artistic activities.
Jain added that the Saras Mela, a celebration of art, culture, and tradition, provides the perfect platform for youth to showcase their creativity and connect with the community. He invited all young enthusiasts to participate in these exciting competitions and make the event a memorable success.
