Additional Member (Production Units) Sanjay Kumar Pankaj Railway Board visits RCF 

Kapurthala, April 11, 2024: Sanjay Kumar Pankaj , Additional Member (Production Units ), Railway Board, today visited Rail Coach Factory, Kapurthala.

On arrival at RCF, Pankaj  inspected the coach manufacturing processes in the workshop. He was accompanied by the General Manager of RCF, S Srinivas  and other senior officers. He examined various types of  coaches being made by RCF viz, AC 3 Tier Class, MEMU with 3 Phase Electrics, AC 2 Tier etc., besides inspecting the coach shells in Shell assembly Shop. He also examined  Laser Cutting Machines and inspected coach bogies and its components in Bogie Shops. Pankaj  praised RCF infrastructure for speedy manufacturing of coaches and also gave valuable tips in the process. 

Later, a presentation on RCF was made  before him elaborating on production output and manufacturing of new types of coaches in RCF. Pankaj held an elaborate meeting with General Manager and Senior officers on core issues and he assured of giving  full support from Railway Board. He appreciated RCF for the record production of 1901 coaches in the financial year 2023-24. 

Sanjay Kumar Pankaj also held meeting with various unions/associations of RCF in which he stressed upon the importance of cordial relations between unions and administration  and at the same time reaching out to them to cooperate  in increasing the production of coaches.
