Ludhiana, May 23, 2026: Additional Deputy Commissioner (G) Poonam Singh directed the revenue officials to prioritise prompt service delivery to the public visiting their offices while ensuring clearance of all pending cases.
Reviewing revenue-related matters and the functioning of revenue services across all tehsils of the district, ADC Poonam Singh took stock of mutations, digitisation of records, Mussavis, progress of SVAMITVA applications, demarcation cases, recovery of dues from defaulters, court cases and other related matters.
Singh stressed that disposal of applications must be carried out in a time-bound manner to avoid inconvenience to the public. She emphasised that there should be no pendency in revenue services and officials must remain proactive in addressing grievances of people with utmost seriousness and sensitivity.
Highlighting the importance of public satisfaction, Singh said that citizens visiting government offices should receive hassle-free services and timely resolution of their issues. She instructed officials to treat public concerns on priority and ensure transparent, efficient and citizen-friendly administration at all levels.
Singh further stated that she would personally monitor pending cases on a daily basis to establish a comprehensive mechanism for the timely registration of mutations and disposal of public grievances. She encouraged officials to discharge their duties sincerely and efficiently, adding that the Punjab government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann has issued clear directions to facilitate the daily administrative needs of people in tehsils.
