ADC Narender Kumar inaugurates Rohtak District’s First Plastic Waste Management Plant Set Up in Bainsi Village
Additional Deputy Commissioner Narender Kumar said that the Rohtak district’s first Gram Panchayat–based Plastic Waste Management Unit has been established in Bainsi village under the Swachh Bharat Mission. Dry waste collected from all Gram Panchayats of the district will be brought to this shed, where segregation will be carried out. Plastic waste will be separated, while the remaining waste will be disposed of as per prescribed norms.
Rohtak, February 10, 2026: Additional Deputy Commissioner Narender Kumar said that the Rohtak district’s first Gram Panchayat–based Plastic Waste Management Unit has been established in Bainsi village under the Swachh Bharat Mission. Dry waste collected from all Gram Panchayats of the district will be brought to this shed, where segregation will be carried out. Plastic waste will be separated, while the remaining waste will be disposed of as per prescribed norms.
The Additional Deputy Commissioner was interacting with villagers after inaugurating the district’s first plastic management plant, set up at a cost of ₹16 lakh in Bainsi village. He said that this initiative is an important step towards strengthening the solid waste management system in the district. A modern plastic waste machine has been installed in the solid waste management shed, which will enable scientific segregation and processing of plastic waste, thereby promoting environmental protection and ensuring effective control over plastic pollution.
He added that proper management of plastic waste will not only improve sanitation but also help in conserving resources through recycling. The machine will also play a crucial role in achieving the objectives of the Swachh Bharat Mission. The entire process will be managed under the supervision of the Panchayats, and the income generated will be utilized for development works of the Panchayat, leading to an increase in its revenue.
The ADC also visited the Liquid Waste Management Unit, e-Library, Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar Bhawan and the Women Cultural Centre in the village, and planted saplings. He also provided career guidance to children present at the e-Library. BDPO Sumit Beniwal, SDO Panchayati Raj Yadavendra, Sarpanch Aman Jangra, Gram Secretary Arun Gupta, DPM Manju Grewal, ABPO Pawan Kumar, JE Ravindra, along with villagers were present on the occasion.
