Actress Tanvi Dogra finds innovative way of learning Bhojpuri for &TV’s Santoshi Maa Sunaye Vrat Kathayein

Actress Tanvi Dogra who is all set to make her mythological debut with &TV’s Santoshi Maa: Sunaye Vrat Kathayein is leaving no stone unturned to get into the skin. In the show, Tanvi will be seen essaying the role of Swati who is an ardent devotee of Maa Santoshi. The shoot for the show that is about to commence has given Tanvi enough time to perfectly prepare for her character that hails from Bihar. Apart from that, she has also started fasting, keeping in line with the show that focuses on the importance and stories on ‘vrats’. And now, working on the language and dialect of a Bihari village belle, the actress found an innovative way of learning. While many actors turn to books and movies to understand the nuances of the character they are set to play, Tanvi on the other hand has taken up an innovative and educative way of learning the same. Luckily, her house help is also from Bihar and has been instrumental in the process of helping her prepare for the character. In return, as a sweet gesture, Tanvi has started teaching her English. Apart from her house help teaching her the language, she has also suggested a list of movies that have simple and easy Bihari dialects. “One day, I was watching a Bhojpuri film when my house help came in, she was taken aback seeing me watching a Bhojpuri film. That is when I recalled that she herself is from Bihar and can help me with the Bihari accent and style of talking. In return, I decided to teach her English as I have seen her interest in speaking the language. It has been a wonderful time exchanging knowledge with her and has benefited both of us equally.” Tanvi is not only perfecting her Bihari accent but also doing a lot of research on the practice of fasting as the show highlights the significance of each vrat followed in Hinduism.
