Sony SAB is gearing up to present the medical drama Hui Gumm Yaadein - Ek Doctor, Do Zindagiyaan, the Indian adaptation of the internationally acclaimed Italian series DOC, which has been successfully adapted across several countries worldwide. The show spotlights the story of Dr Dev (Iqbal Khan), a brilliant doctor who loses eight years of his memory after an accident and works to rebuild both his personal and professional life starting afresh.

Joining this compelling narrative is popular actor Srishti Singh, who steps into the role of Dr. Vaani, a young, resilient, self-made, and emotionally guarded resident doctor working at the hospital where the story unfolds. Dr. Vaani is highly competent, ambitious, and eager to prove herself in a demanding, hierarchical medical system. When she joined the hospital, she was immediately drawn to Dr. Dev. She admired his precision, discipline, and attention to detail. She began by hero-worshipping him and eventually adapted his methods and philosophy completely, following his teachings. Their relationship evolves from professional admiration to a complex emotional bond. After Dr. Dev’s memory loss, she forms a deep bond of friendship with him. She becomes his staunchest supporter, advocating for him to continue working at the hospital.

Speaking about the show and her role, Srishti Singh shared, “What touched me about Hui Gumm Yaadein is the emotional honesty of its relationships. Even after Dr. Dev’s memory loss, Vaani doesn’t try to reclaim the past, she allows their bond to grow organically, without expectation. Vaani believes love cannot be forced or explained, either it finds its way back, or it doesn’t. What drew me to her is the way she balances ambition with empathy, principles with vulnerability. Portraying that complexity will be both a challenge and a privilege. I’m also excited to work alongside Iqbal Khan, whose discipline and craft I’ve always admired.”
