Ludhiana, April 13, 2026: In a significant step towards strengthening community health and supporting the Government's Ni-kshay Mitra initiative under TB Mukt Bharat, Act Humane NGO has come forward under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative to adopt 100 TB patients in the district.
Under this initiative, the organization will provide protein diet kits every month for a period of six months, ensuring nutritional support to patients undergoing treatment. This effort aims to improve recovery outcomes, reduce stigma, and contribute towards the larger goal of building a TB-free and healthier community.
The initiative was undertaken under the guidance of Himanshu Jain, Deputy Commissioner, Ludhiana, Payal Goel—Assistant Commissioner (General), and Ambar Bandopadhyay. The coordination and facilitation of this initiative were carried out by District Transformation Associates—Simranjeet Kaur (CSR) and Sahil Siddiqui (Health), who played an active role in bringing this collaboration to fruition.
The District Administration, Ludhiana has appreciated the humanitarian contribution made by the organization and has encouraged more organizations to come forward under their CSR initiatives to support public welfare and health-related causes.
Such collaborative efforts between the administration and the social sector are instrumental in achieving the goal of TB Mukt Bharat and building a healthier society.
