Ludhiana, February 12, 2014: Police on Wednesday filed a charge sheet in connection with the December 7, 2013 acid attack case, in which the victim Harpreet Kaur (22) had sustained serious burn injuries and later had succumbed to burn injuries in a Mumbai hospital. Harpreet was a resident of Barnala.
The Court has fixed February 17 as the next date of hearing.
The name of the key accused Amritpal Kaur Dimpy, Parvinder Singh and five others appear in charge sheet filed in the Court of Chief Judicial Magistrate, Ludhiana.
Harpreet had gone to a saloon in the Sarabha Nagar area on December 7 last to get ready for her marriage when the accused had attacked on her with acid. She was first admitted to local DMCH but seeing her critical position she was shifted to National Burn Centre at Mumbai. However, she had died there on December 27.
