Ace Cricketer Harbhajan Singh inaugurates The Cricket World for Ivy World School at Jalandhar on Monday.

Jalandhar, July 27, 2015: Ivy World School, Jalandhar became the ground for Padma Shree and Arjuna awardee, Indian ace cricketer Harbhajan Singh when he inaugurated The Harbhajan Singh Cricket Academy at the school campus. The school wore a festive look as the cricketing legend came over and interacted with students and parents alike. This world class, state-of-the-art facility is an initiative to groom young cricketing talents in all spheres of the game, to enable them to pursue a professional career in cricket.  Speaking on the occasion Mr. Harbhajan Singh also shared his passion for sports and promotion of talent in this field. He stressed on the need to bring up the standard of sports in our country by providing a place for talent to be explored and encouraged.Among many other firsts yet another feather was added to the cap of Ivy World School, Jalndhar when it opened the doors of the new squash court today which was also inaugurated by Mr. Harbhajan Singh. It aims to transform the Ivyians into budding squash players to hone their skills and showcase their talent.
The school has gone miles ahead as it fulfills its commitment to excellence in every field, academic and sports. A colourful musical programme was presented by the talented Ivyians which included solo and group performances that enthralled the audience. Mrs. Sanjeev Chauhan, Principal, Ivy World School addressed the gathering and hoped that this endeavour will churn out sports persons who will not only make a mark in the National and International Sports arena but take the name of Punjab in the sporting canvas to greater heights.
