ABVP Ludhiana Unit Organises Seminar on Mahaparinirvan Diwas
On the occasion of the Mahaparinirvan Diwas of Bharat Ratna Dr. B.R. Ambedkar — the chief architect of the Indian Constitution, a great social reformer and a strong pillar of Indian democracy — the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) Ludhiana Unit organized a seminar on the theme “Ambedkar and the Democratic Structure of Modern India.”

Ludhiana, December 6, 2025: On the occasion of the Mahaparinirvan Diwas of Bharat Ratna Dr. B.R. Ambedkar — the chief architect of the Indian Constitution, a great social reformer and a strong pillar of Indian democracy — the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) Ludhiana Unit organized a seminar on the theme “Ambedkar and the Democratic Structure of Modern India.”
The event was graced by the presence of the Chief Guest, Vishal Saklani, Assistant Professor, PURC Ludhiana. He highlighted Dr. Ambedkar’s broad and global vision, his far-sighted role in constitution drafting, his relentless efforts to ensure social harmony, and his unshakeable struggle for the rights of the marginalized sections of society.
Special Guest Arjun Sahajpal, State Joint Secretary, ABVP Punjab, encouraged students to adopt the principles of social justice, equality, duty, and patriotism advocated by Dr. Ambedkar.
Ludhiana Mahanagar Secretary, Saket Sharma, expressed gratitude to all the guests, college administration and the volunteers, and stated that ABVP will continue organizing such programs to strengthen the values of education, culture and nationalism in the future as well.
Also present on the occasion were Nidhi Sharma (State Girls Co-Incharge), Dinesh Sao (State Convenor, Agrivision), Diya Bakshi (State Convenor, WOSY), Dr. Surbhi Bansal (Ludhiana Mahanagar Vice President), and Omsi Sharma (Ludhiana Mahanagar Joint Secretary), among others.
