About a dozen Himachali to participate in International Master Athletic Meet

Dharamsala, February 2, 2015: About a dozen Himachali , including Rekha Rawat Rana will participate in the International Master Athletic Meet to show the strength  of old age stamina.  The Athletic meet  for the international Master competition is going to be held for the first time in Mumbai, India from 4th to 7th February 2015.

The athletes in the age groups of 35 to 90 years will participate in different categories of this meet. The Himachal Pradesh has selected its team for this international event.  The Himachal team include Asian gold medalist Manmohan Singh, bronze medalist Ajay lakhanpal, Indian silver medalist Bikram Choudhury and Indian Gold Medalist Rana  Rekha Rawat.  Indian Masters Athletics General secretary Grald D’Souza has a great role in organising this international competition at the campus of the University of South Mumbai from  February 4. D’Souza said, “Corporate houses are also sending their teams in this competition, where the cash prize shall also be given beside the trophies to the winners.”
