Abhishek Awasthi to be seen as Rinku Mama on Sony SAB’s Wagle Ki Duniya

Sony SAB’s Wagle Ki Duniya has continued owning a special place in our hearts with the relatable narrative and heartwarming social messages through every story. The upcoming episodes will see a new guest in the Wagle house who will bring in lots of love and emotion. Vandana’s distant brother Rinku (Abhishek Awasthi) has come all the way from his village to meet his sister and her family, but most of all his beloved little Atharva whom he is incredibly fond of.
 
Rinku is a hardworking farmer back home, and his lifestyle is that of a typical villager who does not quite know the workings of a city life. Rinku adores Atharva and takes him as his own son. He is extremely affectionate towards Atharva and is always showering him with love the only way he knows best, but Atharva finds this backward and rejects his affections. He does not wish to be coddled by Rinku mama and tries to always escape when surrounded by his presence. Meanwhile, Atharva is given an assignment from school on farming, which needs him to grow potatoes in a controlled environment. The Wagle’s are completely clueless on farming techniques and have left the potatoes out in the rains. Rinku moves the potatoes indoors to protect them without anyone knowing. He realizes that Atharva isn’t liking his presence and feels bothered, disheartened Rinku decides to leave and returns to his village. Next day on seeing it had rained throughout the day Atharva anticipates that his crop must’ve been destroyed in the rains, but to his surprise he finds out that his loving Rinku mama had already taken care of it.
 
Will Atharva realize his mistake? Will he call Rinku mama back and make amends? And will he understand the importance of farmers in our lives, especially the pride of being related to them as family?
 
Talking about the role and entering the show playing a distinct character actor Abhishek Awasthi said “Returning to Sony SAB feels like coming home, as I have been part of previous shows. I have loved watching Wagle Ki Duniya, and I have adored every character on the show. The subtle daily life lessons that the show brings through each episode leaves the viewer with a good feeling which is so important in our stressful lives. My character Rinku mama is this happy villager who has so much love for his nephew, his ways of showing that love may be very village like, but his heart is full of adoration for Atharva. He sees him like a son, but the same love is not reciprocated by Atharva which is heartbreaking. This new character will bring in a whole lot of emotion in the upcoming episodes and I am eager to see how viewers react to it.”
