Chandigarh, June 1, 2025: Aam Aadmi Party’s (AAP) Punjab In-charge and senior leader Manish Sisodia held a comprehensive meeting with the newly appointed party office bearers today. The meeting was focused on strengthening the organizational structure and preparing for upcoming electoral challenges, including the 2027 Punjab Assembly elections.
During the meeting, Sisodia congratulated the newly appointed office bearers, encouraging them to begin their responsibilities immediately. "You are the state leadership; you are Team Mission-2027," Sisodia remarked, emphasizing their crucial role in driving the party’s vision and strategy. He stressed that the efforts of this team would define AAP's success in Punjab.
AAP Punjab President Aman Arora, Working President Amansher Singh Shery Kalsi, All State Secretaries, General Secretaries, Lok Sabha Incharges, and District Incharges actively participated in the meeting, bringing valuable insights and enthusiasm.
Manish Sisodia highlighted the importance of building a robust organization at every level. He urged the team to focus on expanding the party’s reach and creating a positive environment centered on AAP's achievements and vision for Punjab.
"Our government is dedicated to the people. Your role is to take the transformative works of the government directly to the people," Sisodia said. He specifically encouraged the office bearers to support government initiatives like "Yudh Nashian Virudh" (War Against Drugs) and connect with the people on the ground.
Sisodia discussed the roles and responsibilities of various party positions, including District Incharges, Block Leaders, State Secretaries, and General Secretaries. He emphasized the need for clarity and accountability in these roles to ensure seamless functioning.
He added, "We will soon hold follow-up meetings to further define responsibilities and ensure that every member is clear on their role in both the party and the government. Share your ideas, as every contribution will help us grow stronger as a unit."
The District Incharges shared valuable suggestions on improving teamwork and strengthening the party's grassroots presence. Sisodia lauded these ideas, urging all members to focus on how they can contribute to serving the people rather than on what the party or government can do for them.
Sisodia emphasized the need to enhance coordination between the party's main wings and its various frontal wings to ensure a unified and streamlined approach toward organizational goals. He highlighted the importance of expanding the party's organizational structure to every corner of Punjab, thereby strengthening AAP’s presence at the grassroots level and enabling deeper engagement with the public.
Sisodia also stressed the necessity of building strong connections with the people by actively communicating the government’s achievements and the party's unwavering commitment to public welfare. He called for fostering a positive and proactive environment within the organization, encouraging members to work with dedication and unity to achieve the collective vision for Punjab’s progress.
The meeting concluded with a call for hard work and dedication, with Sisodia affirming, "From Ludhiana by-election to Mission-2027, this is our journey. Together, under the leadership of Arvind Kejriwal and Bhagwant Mann, we will achieve new milestones for Punjab.
Manish Sisodia also outlined key directives for AAP’s District In-Charges (DIs), emphasizing the need for an active, on-ground presence across Punjab. He directed that party work must extend beyond air-conditioned meetings and social media posts, urging all DIs to remain in the field daily. This involves engaging directly with volunteers, addressing their concerns, and fostering enthusiasm through mission-driven leadership. To ensure the party’s visibility and energy at the grassroots level, DIs are now mandated to visit at least two blocks daily. These visits aim to empower local teams, resolve organizational challenges, and monitor the effectiveness of party units at every booth and block.
Sisodia stressed the importance of strong coordination between DIs, MLAs, and party cadres. He urged DIs to act as connectors between elected representatives, office bearers, and grassroots workers, driving joint campaigns and facilitating meaningful dialogue. “Punjab ki siyasat ka naya model ban raha hai — jahan neta logon ke beech hote hain, jahan party ke zimmedar log Punjab ke har kone mein janta se milte hain,” Sisodia remarked, describing DIs as “political warriors” rooted in Punjab’s soil. This directive aligns with AAP’s broader vision of creating a transparent and people-centered political structure that operates boldly in the streets and fields of Punjab, standing with the people and for the people.
AAP Punjab President Aman Arora and Working President Amansher Singh Shery Kalsi also shared their insights during the meeting, lending their support to the agenda outlined by Manish Sisodia. Both leaders echoed Sisodia's message, emphasizing the importance of unity, dedication, and collective effort in achieving the party’s goals.
They encouraged the office bearers to work cohesively as a unit, with the shared vision of transforming Punjab for the better. Arora and Kalsi reiterated that the responsibility of driving positive change lies with every member of the team, urging them to align their efforts towards strengthening the organization and addressing the needs of the people.
