Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Monday organising a blood donation camp in collaboration with NGO Zindagi Life Foundation to mark World Health Day at Ludhiana.
Ludhiana, April 7, 2014: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Monday organised a blood donation camp in collaboration with NGO Zindagi Life Foundation to mark World Health Day. AAP candidate from Ludhiana HS Phoolka inaugurated the camp.
AAP members and volunteers and members of the common public donated blood. The collected blood would be used for the treatment of 90 Thalassemic children, whose parents cannot otherwise afford their treatment.
While speaking to media persons, Phoolka said , “We must all come together for this noble cause and donate blood. Besides the fact that blood donation is being promoted, the blood donation drive also has a symbolic meaning. Our forefathers gave their blood to get independence for the nation. This is a second battle for independence from corrupt politicians.”
“AAP is dedicated to human welfare and it organises such kind of camps very often”, he added.
AAP workers in large number donated their blood and set an example for others.
