Tarn Taran, November 04, 2025: Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) President Sukhbir Singh Badal on Tuesday launched a scathing attack on the AAP and Congress, terming the ruling AAP "the most corrupt government in Punjab's history" and accusing the Congress of "always betraying" the state.

Addressing a massive election rally in Balachak village for the Tarn Taran by-election, Badal campaigned for party candidate Principal Sukhwinder Kaur Randhawa and asserted that only the SAD, as a regional party, can save Punjab.

The rally was organized under the leadership of party Vice President, former MLA, and Zone In-charge Ravinder Singh Brahmpura, along with SGPC member Jathedar Jarnail Singh Dograwala and Youth Akali Dal core committee member Gurpreet Singh Wadali.

Slamming the AAP government, Badal said it "came to power on false promises" and has proven to be "the most incompetent and corrupt." He accused Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann of "selling Punjab's interests to the Delhi Darbar" and "looting the state treasury" to fund elections in other states. "People have now seen through their lies," he stated.

Targeting the Congress, Badal remarked that both AAP and Congress are "two sides of the same coin" that have "always backstabbed Punjab and the Sikhs." He said these national parties are only concerned with votes, not the state's welfare.

"Today, there is a need to strengthen Punjab's own regional party, the Shiromani Akali Dal, because only SAD understands the pain of Punjab, fights for its rights, and truly represents Punjabis," Badal added.

Brahmpura thanked the party president for his visit, stating it had "electrified the workers and assured a certain victory for the party in Tarn Taran."

Other senior leaders present included Bikram Singh Verka, Jaspreet Singh Bal, Sukhwinder Singh Sukh, Jaswinder Singh Sandhu, Jaspal Singh Nahar, Gurdeep Singh Chak, Jagjit Singh Jaggi Chohla, Parmol Singh Ghuman, Harmohit Singh, Anmolpreet Singh Sidhu, Amanpreet Singh, Sukhdev Singh, Kulwinder Singh DC, Gurwinder Singh Raju, and Harpal Singh Foji, along with a large number of party workers.
