New Delhi, July 4 (IANS) In a shocking revelation, the DTC employees who were arrested in bribery case have claimed to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) that AAP MLAs used to put pressure on them for transfer and posting in DTC.

When contacted, CBI officials were tight-lipped over the issue. A source told IANS that AAP MLA Mukesh Ahlawat and Sanjeev Jha even wrote letters in this regard.

"We were interrogating the DTC employees when they revealed this. There are a number of AAP MLAs who put pressure on them. So far two names have come out -- Mukesh Ahlawat and Sanjeev Jha who wrote letters for the transfer and posting of DTC drivers. this is what has been claimed by the DTC employees," a source told IANS.

The CBI on Wednesday (June 29) arrested Kirti Bala Malik, the depot manager, Shakil Ahmed Khan, the deputy CGM of DTC, posted with Sector 3 Rohini, his former PA Sunil, a retired official of DTC Mahender, a retired Assistant Traffic Inspector (ATI) Saffuzzama and Jeetu another official of DTC in connection with a bribery case of Rs 91,000.

The accused were indulging in illegal activities in the matter of appointment of consultant in DTC in lieu of undue advantage of varying amount.

"During investigation, the CGM and depot manager were caught accepting bribe of Rs 91,000 in lieu of appointment of two candidates as consultant in DTC. Five other accused including bribe giver were also caught," CBI had said.

The CBI had also conducted search operation at several locations including Delhi, Gurugram, Sonipat at the premises of the accused. Rs 40 lakh cash was recovered from the premises of the said CGM and depot manager.
