AAP govt. cheating poor in Punjab by depriving them benefits given by Centre: Chugh

Chandigarh, October 9, 2022: BJP national general secretary Tarun Chugh today lambasted the AAP government in Punjab for not delivering the benefits of the PM's Garib Kalyaan Ann scheme under which free of cost foodgrains are provided to people below poverty line.

Chugh said it was a matter of utter disgrace that while the Bhagwant Mann government has failed miserably to do anything for the poor in the state, it has not even made optimum utilisation of facilities provided by the Narendra Modi government.

He said more than 1.42 crore people in Punjab have been receiving free foodgrains from the Centre and now it has come to light that the AAP government has failed to meet the targets ever since it has come to power in Punjab.

"It is a gross cheating with the poor of the state and has been a blatant exercise to disrupt the benefits that the Modi government wants to extend to the poor in the AAP-ruled states without prejudice and bias", he added.
