AAP government's hike in CLU, EDC and other fees is a major betrayal of the people of Punjab – Rajnish Dhiman

The Punjab government's decision to massively increase CLU, EDC and other fees is extremely harmful for the property sector and the common people. Citizens were expecting relief from the government, but instead, by suddenly increasing these fees several times in urban areas, the AAP government has placed a heavy burden on the public. These words were stated by District BJP President Rajnish Dhiman while criticising the AAP government during an interaction with the media.

AAP government's hike in CLU, EDC and other fees is a major betrayal of the people of Punjab – Rajnish Dhiman

Ludhiana, November 27, 2025: The Punjab government's decision to massively increase CLU, EDC and other fees is extremely harmful for the property sector and the common people. Citizens were expecting relief from the government, but instead, by suddenly increasing these fees several times in urban areas, the AAP government has placed a heavy burden on the public. These words were stated by District BJP President Rajnish Dhiman while criticising the AAP government during an interaction with the media.
Dhiman said that this step taken by the AAP government is a big betrayal of the people of Punjab. On one hand, the AAP government is putting up big hoardings claiming to provide relief to the common man, while on the other hand, it is issuing such orders and finding ways to loot Punjabis. He said Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann is working under the directions of AAP supremo Arvind Kejriwal.
Dhiman added that in 2027, the people will no longer be misled by them because, in the last four years, they have understood the wide gap between the AAP government’s words and actions. The promises made to the people of Punjab before coming to power have not been fulfilled till now. The proverb “different teeth to show and different to eat” completely fits the AAP government now.
He demanded that the Punjab government immediately withdraw this decision and announce relief for the common public and the property sector. If the government does not roll back its decision, the BJP will protest against it in every district.
On this occasion, BJP District General Secretary Yashpal Janotra, spokesperson Surender Kaushal, Varinder Sehgal and Deepu Sharma were present.
