AAP candidates secure victory in 6 of 13 wards in Talwandi Bhai MC polls
The Municipal Council elections at Talwandi Bhai witnessed a mixed political verdict with AAP candidates securing victory in 6 out of the total 13 wards. Congress candidates won two wards while BJP and SAD managed to secure one and two seats respectively. Two independent candidates also emerged victorious.
Ferozepur, May 29, 2026: The Municipal Council elections at Talwandi Bhai witnessed a mixed political verdict with AAP candidates securing victory in 6 out of the total 13 wards. Congress candidates won two wards while BJP and SAD managed to secure one and two seats respectively. Two independent candidates also emerged victorious.
AAP candidate Anu Bajaj won from ward number 1, while Jagnaminder Singh secured victory from ward number 2. Paramjeet Kaur and Karanjot Singh Gill of AAP emerged victorious from ward numbers 3 and 4 respectively. BJP candidate Poonam Rani won from ward number 5, whereas SAD candidate Rupinder Singh secured victory from ward number 6.
Congress candidates Madhu Vatta and Hardeep Singh emerged victorious from ward numbers 7 and 8 respectively, while independent candidate Kulwinder Kaur won from ward number 9. AAP candidate Jagdeep Singh secured victory from ward number 10 and independent candidate Poonam Rani won from ward number 11. AAP candidate Richa Arora emerged victorious from ward number 12, while SAD candidate Sarabjeet Kaur secured the seat from ward number 13.
Rajneesh Dahiya AAP MLA (Rural) said that this victory is the victory of the faith of the people in AAP government’s policies. He said that people have voted for the development works being done by AAP in the region.
